네펜 유전 정리

대형 농장의 다양한 씨앗 발아 교배종들 사진이 있었으면 좋겠지만 부탁할 수도 없고 현재 구글에서 검색 가능한 교배종/변종들로만 '주관적'으로 정리해보겠습니다.

네펜데스는 지금도 계속해서 새로 발견되고 있지만 현재까지 발견된 종들입니다.

유전을 하나하나 알아보고 싶지만, 글의 목적은 대중화된 교배종들을 자세히 살펴보는 것입니다.

잎부터 stem, tendril, lid, wing, pitcher 까지 어떤 형질이 우세할지 알아봄으로 대충 미래의 네펜 교배종도 상상해볼 수 있겠죠.

물론 눈에 보이지 않는 곳까지 유전자의 힘이 미치고 있겠지만, 사람의 눈으로 볼 수 있는 데까지만 추측해볼 예정입니다. 

첫번째 교배친은 N.ventricosa 입니다.

튼튼하다고 알려져 있기도 하죠.  그 이유는 사실 해발1000m~2000m에 서식하기 때문에 낮은 기온도 어느정도 견딜 수 있습니다. 

교배시 튼튼함을 어느정도 물려받을 수 있습니다. 

대표적으로 N.ventricosa x alata , N.ventricosa x ampullaria, N.ventricosa x maxima  가 있습니다.

교배종들이 추위에도 어느정도 견디고 낮은 습도에서도 포낭을 올려주니 키우기 쉬운 네펜임은 틀림없습니다.

교배종들의 포낭을 살펴보면, N.ventricosa 의 빨간 입술은 우성인듯 싶습니다. 

애초에 교배종 네펜들 사이에서 입술색이 진한 교배친 색을 따라가는 경향이 있습니다.

또한 특이한 호리병 모양의 모습은 중간 유전인듯 싶습니다. 다른 교배종들을 살펴봐도 특성이 없거나 살짝 파인 느낌이 있습니다.

또한 잎도 얇고 긴 특성 덕에 교배종들도 어느정도 크기가 제한되어 있습니다.

이로서 잎의 길이, 넓이도 중간 유전이라는 사실을 알 수 있습니다.

tendril 의 굵기, 길이도 다 짧습니다. 

이로서 어째서 위의 사진에서 본 어퍼가 tendril이 꼬이지 않았는지 예측이 가능합니다. 

N.maxima 는 바리에이션이 상당해서 섣부른 판단은 할 수 없지만요. 

위의 사진을 좀 더 살펴보면 로워는 입술 색이 좀 더 진하고 호피무늬가 포낭 전체에 있는 것을 볼 수 있습니다.

중간 유전이라면 호피무늬가 흐릿하거나 옅어야 하는데 여기서는 진한 것으로 보아 우성으로 추측됩니다.

반면 어퍼에선 무늬가 없습니다. 이는 N.maxima upper 의 전형적인 모습이며, upper 시 무늬가 없어지는 네펜은 상당히 많습니다. 

N.ventricosa에겐 어느 단계건 무늬 자체가 희미하거나 없죠. (이는 일반적인 경우이고, 예외로 변종 N.ventricosa 무늬종이 있긴 합니다.-사진-) 그러니 로워 줄무늬, 로워의 진한 입술 색은 완전히 N.maxima 교배친에게 물려져 온 것으로 판단이 가능합니다. 

또한 어퍼의 옅은 핑크색 입술 색은 N.ventricosa 에게 물려받은 것으로 추측이 가능합니다.

N.maxima upper는 대부분 입술도 아무 색이 들어가지 않은 밋밋한 모습이기 때문입니다.

wing 에 대해선, N.ventricosa 의 wing 은 없다시피 한 모습으로, 보통은 upper 시 없어지기 마련인 wing이 N.ventricosa는 로워때부터 없습니다. 

위의 사진을 살펴보면 wing은 아주 짧은 것을 알 수 있습니다. 이 역시 중간 유전으로 추측이 가능합니다.

N.ventricosa 로 살펴본 유전적 형질은 

입술 색 - 로워때 교배친중 진한색을, 어퍼때도 마찬가지로 진한색을 따라간다. 

포낭 무늬 - 무늬가 있기만 한다면 무조건 유전되고 그 형질은 유전해준 교배친을 그대로 따라간다.

잎의 길이, 넓이 - 부모에게서 중간정도로 물려받는다. 어느정도 오차도 있을 것으로 추측되지만, 교배친 이상으로 커질 일은 절대 없을 듯 싶다.

tendril의 길이, 굵기 - 중간유전. 이는 N.truncata  의 교배종을 보면 금방 알 수 있다.

포낭 모양 - 중간유전. 확실한것은  N.lowii 교배종을 보면 알 수 있다.

다음엔 N.truncata로 포낭 크기를, 그다음엔 N.spectabilis, N.burbidgeae 로 입술 줄무늬, N.lowii 뚜껑 안의 털들, N.rajah 의 뚜껑 모양, N. hamata 로 이빨을, N.veitchii 로 입술 모양을, N.bongso 로 포낭 색을, N.clipeata로 잎 모양을, 성장 속도도 체크해보고 싶지만 대조군을 찾기 힘드므로 제일 나중이 될 것 같네요. 

사실 네펜 유전 대부분은 중간 유전입니다. 하지만 자세히 들어가보면 재밌을 것 같아 써봤습니다.

대충 제가 네펜 고를때 체크하는 모습 위주로 추가했습니다. 다음은 시간 날때 다시 쓰도록 하겠습니다.
